Telstra and NBN will host a Tech Help drop-in session at the Port Sorell Surf Life Saving Club on Tuesday, 14 April, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

On 20 February I held a Community Meeting in Port Sorell, inviting Telstra to listen to residents’ concerns about connectivity in the area.

I encourage residents from Port Sorell, Hawley Beach, Shearwater and Squeaking Point to attend, bring your devices and bring your connectivity questions for Telstra and NBN.

Some common questions Telstra and NBN can answer for you:

  • How do I know if my device is using the NBN or the Telstra mobile network?
  • What is better for me: NBN or Starlink?
  • How do I make Wi‑Fi calls using NBN or Starlink?
  • How can I extend my ring tone?
  • What’s the difference between mobile coverage and mobile capacity?
  • What’s the difference between the NBN networks (Fixed Wireless, Fibre to the Node, Fibre to the Premise), and what can my home access?

Date: Tuesday, 14 April

Time: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Venue: Port Sorell Surf Life Saving Club, 1 Dumbleton Street, Port Sorell

All are welcome. No RSVP required.

Telstra is focused on investing in increased mobile coverage and capacity in the area and will continue to engage the community during this process.
